OpenAI is reportedly working on another mega round of private funding before it goes public. According to sources cited by CNBC, the ChatGPT maker is seeking up to $30 billion at a $1.25 trillion pre-money valuation, in a round led by Coatue and investors in the UAE, TechCrunch reports.

CNBC also reports that the UAE money could come with a deal to get OpenAI more computing capacity in the country. Terms are still being negotiated and could change. OpenAI declined to comment.

The report follows one from Bloomberg (as cited by TechCrunch) a month ago, which said OpenAI was seeking $30 billion at a $1.4 trillion valuation. TechCrunch notes that a valuation over $1 trillion would make OpenAI the most valuable private company ever. OpenAI’s last raise, in March, valued it at $852 billion post-money, and the company filed confidential IPO paperwork in June.

The figure also matters for rival Anthropic. CNBC reports that Anthropic is seeking a $1.5 trillion to $2 trillion valuation for its own public debut. According to TechCrunch, Anthropic raised $65 billion at a $965 billion valuation in May and also filed confidential IPO paperwork in June.
